Eastwest Medico is a Danish supplier of medical gloves and PPE. Much of what we ship never sees a shop shelf - it leaves on pallets, bound for humanitarian warehouses around the world: UN supply hubs, NGO staging depots, emergency stockpiles from Copenhagen to Freetown.

Humanitarian freight is unforgiving. Warehouse space is booked by the pallet, aid budgets pay by the kilo and the cubic metre, and UN shipping rules allow no overhang - a carton hanging two centimetres over the pallet edge can get a consignment rejected at the receiving door.

So every shipment starts with the same questions: how many pallets? Which layer pattern? How high will it stack, and what will it weigh?

For years we answered with tape measures, spreadsheets and experience. Eventually we built a tool: enter your carton and quantity, and get the best layer pattern, per-pallet loading diagrams, stack heights and weights - the same figures we print on our own packing lists.

It made our shipments faster and our paperwork cleaner, and we figured we're not the only ones stacking cartons. So we put it online, free. If it saves you one re-stacked pallet or one argument at a loading dock, it has done its job.
